Not only are we to “consider” it all joy when encountering trials, but as believers we are to consider the CROSS! What we endure on earth will never compare to what Jesus endured on the cross. Hebrews 12:3 (HCSB) says, “For CONSIDER HIM who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, so that you won’t grow weary and lose heart.” Consider, (or fix your mind, ponder, respect toward, regard or think seriously) Jesus Christ. Consider His sufferings, His overcoming victory and His love for you and me. By fixing your mind on Him, your trials are nothing compared to what He endured, and you see not only your need for Him, but also how victorious He was in defeating the evil one.
Believers, we cannot go through our pilgrimage alone.
